A web first retail brand for skincare.

After successfully designing another product line for them, Honasa approached Lucid to create a specialised medicated skincare brand.

As a web first brand, we had to tailor our design responses to the unique challenges of only ever communicating with the end customer online. From understanding their skin concerns to providing and explaining the right solution in terms of specific products applied in a specific sequence, we paired down our design to achieve total simplicity and maximum clarity.

Starting with the brand identity that reinforced the dermatologist formulations and testing without looking medical. To the bold colours used on the packaging that divided products by their function. To clear numbering that denoted the sequence in which the products are to be used. And finally to the choice of typography that was modern, stylish, credible and fun.

Designing the Complete Regimen Experience

Given that a customer was going to order a regimen of products, we designed a shipping box with a subtle exterior and a dramatic interior.

An insert card explained the colour system - function and sequence, and the appropriate products as per the order would sit under it.

Lastly, in order to bring the whole story together and tell it with care, we designed the template for the website. And a comprehensive guidelines document followed so all future products and web pages would be consistent with the design language we created.
